Dear Residents, Families, and Friends,

Welcome to Mount St. Joseph. This website information is intended to give a “snapshot” of our facility in 2011 and a brief summary of the changes that have occurred through diligent efforts of managers and staff.

We are a holistic care community that is constantly reviewing and improving its standards of care, practice and physical environment to provide the best possible care for those in need, who reside on mental health units, Alzheimer’s unit, intermediate/long term care, skilled nursing, as well as provide end-of-life (hospice) services. We are a nonprofit organization funded with federal and state dollars and charitable donations made by families and the community.

Nursing clinical operations is a critical department of our facility. Our philosophy emphasizes treating the whole person. Values embraced by clinical operations that coincide and enhance those of Mount St. Joseph are:

Belief that holistic care is provided within an effective, efficient and organized system of services.

Belief that family / significant other and community involvement is of fundamental importance for assessment, treatment planning, treatment interventions and support.

Belief that the environment should be conducive to providing care that enhances quality of life.

Belief that all functions of our facility are coordinated and integrated for the common good of the resident.
